The Decisions behind the Design

Why Felt Backed Carpet?

There are three main reasons why we use felt backed carpet:

  • Cats love to scratch the bark like texture

  • It doesn’t shed carpet fibers

  • Claws don’t get caught and injured like in traditional waffle backed carpet

Why Modular Accessories

The purpose behind our modular design was for people to be able to change up the configuration without having to take it off the wall or dig around in the junk drawer for a stupid allen wrench. Each accessory was careful created with durability, size, and weight capacity in mind. As an Amazon frequent flyer, I wanted to create a product that would last for years not months.

Why removeable cushions and hammocks

Cats puke and get dingleberries and drag litter everywhere. As a cat mom it was important that the most used surfaces on the catwall were easily removable and machine washable. The hammocks and cushions are made of soft and durable 100% cotton that can withstand scratching, running, launching and drooling.. we know, we tested it.
